The Kleve District Municipal Integration Center (KI) supports integration-related measures with its call for funding "Volunteering strengthens integration through prevention". In this way, the district of Kleve promotes the active community participation of people with and without a migration background across social, cultural and religious boundaries. Funding from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is available for initiatives from the district of Kleve - a total of 58,000 euros for the district of Kleve. The amount of funding depends on the individual scope, type and costs of the initiative and is limited to a maximum of 2,000 euros per project. This year, the "Prevention" funding priority aims to prevent or reduce prejudice, exclusion, social isolation, barriers and social conflicts between different groups in society. Eligible projects should prevent discrimination and ensure equal opportunities. Eligible offers must take place in the calendar year 2026.
Educational institutions, charities, associations, migrant self-organizations and volunteer initiatives can submit applications from 1 to 31 May 2026 inclusive. The KI Kreis Kleve provides an online form for this purpose, which is published on the Kreis Kleve integration portal at https://integration.kreis-kleve.de during the application period. All applications received will then be reviewed. Once a decision on funding has been made, the KI will inform all applicants in writing. There is no legal entitlement to funding.
Eligible projects can come from the following priority areas:
- Language and educational offers
- Intercultural encounters and events
- Leisure and cultural activities
- Qualification of volunteers
The staff at KI Kreis Kleve are available to answer any questions from Monday to Wednesday from 9.00 am to 1.30 pm: Telephone 02821 85-538 or e-mail ki@kreis-kleve.de.
