Farewells to well-deserved retirement

Angelika Fedke has been employed by the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer since 2007. She initially worked as a school secretary at Wetten elementary school. From December 2008 until she moved into the release phase of her partial retirement, she then worked as a commercial employee at Kevelaerer Stadtwerke. There she was mainly responsible for accounts payable and insurance and enriched the team with her always friendly and helpful manner.

Johannes Bongartz can look back on 33 years of service to the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer. Mr. Bongartz has been employed as a master electrician at the municipal depot since 1992. He is responsible for street lighting, fountain systems, Christmas lighting and electrical support for municipal events. Thanks to his specialist knowledge and experience, Mr. Bongartz is also always involved in electrical engineering planning for the technical operations of the municipal utilities. Due to his reliable and responsible manner, he is a valued employee and, due to unforeseen circumstances, will continue to support the depot team for a few more months, working fewer hours, before finally taking his long-planned retirement.

His honesty, diligence and helpfulness earned him a high reputation among the workforce, the community and clubs.

Mayor Dr. Pichler, Head of Human Resources Werner Barz, Chairman of the Staff Council Stefan Reudenbach and the respective superiors of the departing employees took the opportunity to express their thanks and appreciation for their many years of service to the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer.
