Service description
If you have already received a reminder and the outstanding debt is not paid within the specified period, it will be forwarded directly to enforcement.
Internal enforcement
Enforcement in the internal service primarily includes seizure
- movable property including motor vehicles
- of income with the employer
- of payment claims from accounts with financial institutions and from
- other exploitable rights
Enforcement measures against real property, such as forced sale, forced security mortgage and forced administration, are carried out by the competent enforcement court (local court) at the request of the enforcement authority.
As the enforcement authority, the Kevelaer municipal treasury has the option of collecting the declaration of assets from a debtor itself or instructing a bailiff to do so.
Enforcement in the field
The enforcement of monetary claims in the field is carried out by enforcement officers.
These are identified by an official ID card and a garnishment order. Only the enforcement officers may accept money in the field on behalf of the Kevelaer municipal treasury. Their payment is duly receipted.Further information
Administrative assistance
The Kevelaer municipal treasury not only enforces its own claims by way of administrative assistance. As an official service, it also enforces claims from other districts, towns and municipalities, for example.
By way of enforcement assistance, we also carry out enforcement for the following creditors in NRW:
- Chamber of Industry and Commerce
- Chambers and guilds of skilled trades and other professional chambers
- Parishes
- Publicly appointed surveyors
- Special-purpose associations, and
- most other corporations and institutions under public law subject to state supervision
