Purpose of data processing
Your data is processed for the following purpose:
- Processing of your request to have a data transmission restriction entered in your registration record, specifically to prevent the transmission of data to political parties, voter groups, and similar institutions, as well as to other beneficiaries in this context, in accordance with the Federal Registration Act.
- Verifying whether the legal requirements for registering the restriction have been met, as well as communicating with you throughout the application process.
Main legal basis
Your personal data is processed on the following legal basis:
- Section 50(5) of the Federal Registration Act (BMG) in conjunction with Section 44 of the General Administrative Regulation for the Implementation of the Federal Registration Act (BMGVwV).
- The processing is therefore necessary to fulfill a legal obligation or to perform a task carried out in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(c) or (e) of the GDPR in conjunction with the aforementioned reporting regulations).
Recipients and categories of recipients of the data
Your data will be processed exclusively within the scope of data protection law in order to process your application.
Personal data is not transferred to third countries.
Duration of storage and retention periods
Your data will be stored only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose—that is, to maintain and update the registration record with the registered transmission restriction—and in accordance with the statutory retention periods under registration law.
Rights of the data subject
Your rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data transfer and objection regarding the personal data collected are expressly pointed out at this point. The legal basis for this is Articles 15 to 21 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and Sections 49 and 50 of the NRW State Data Protection Act.
