This year’s summer school break in North Rhine-Westphalia begins on Friday, July 17, 2026. In the week before the break, schools will distribute end-of-year report cards to students. The Kleve District School Board notes that it offers a “Helpline for Report Card Worries” for both parents and students at elementary, secondary, and special education schools: Phone 02821 85-496.
The hotline will be available on Friday, July 17, Monday, July 20, and Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day. During these times, the school superintendents for the Kleve district will answer questions regarding report card grades.
The contacts on the "report telephone" provide confidential advice and give callers possible contacts for their questions. The service strengthens the trusting cooperation between parents and school in order to jointly achieve the goal of good education and upbringing. With this in mind, the "school report telephone" serves as a mediator to improve communication in particular. Experience has shown that questions in connection with a report and individual achievements can be clarified in a dialog between the parties involved. With a view to further cooperation, an amicable solution to the problem is sought. If school psychological issues such as exam anxiety or refusal to perform are raised, the school supervisory authority for the district of Kleve will refer the callers to the school psychological counseling center for the district of Kleve, among others.
