The construction work on Peter-Plümpe-Platz in Kevelaer continues to progress. In the next step, Marktstraße will be closed to through traffic and renovated from April 14, 2025.
This affects the area between Roermonder Platz and the temporary entrance to the Peter-Plümpe-Platz parking lot in front of the Old Town Hall. This means that access to the town hall via the rear road of Peter-Plümpe-Platz is also closed and will be a dead end during this time.
Once this section has been completed, the part of Marktstraße between Gelderner Straße via Roermonder Platz to the street behind the town hall will be open to traffic again.
The parking lot at Peter-Plümpe-Platz can be reached from Twistedener Straße. Detour signs will be posted for traffic. The local buses will also be taking a different route during this time.
The partial closure is expected to last until the end of October.
