Winter maintenance
Service description
Who is responsible for winter maintenance?
The pilgrimage town of Kevelaer is responsible for winter road maintenance. It should be noted that a limited winter service is carried out in the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer. The winter service is limited to a so-called "core road network". This refers to roads with a high accident rate and risk potential, main roads and main access roads, pedestrian zones and pedestrian streets, school routes, access roads to hospitals, retirement homes and other important public facilities. This means that winter maintenance is not carried out on residential roads, for example.
Winter maintenance of the sidewalks is the responsibility of the residents.
