Dog tax
Service description
According to the dog tax statutes of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer, every dog kept in the town area must be registered by the dog owner within two weeks with the town administration ("Taxes and Levies" department).
Dogs must be deregistered by the dog owner within two weeks of the reason for deregistration, stating the reasons in writing or verbally, but not by telephone, to the municipal administration ("Taxes and Levies" department). If the dog is sold, the name and address of the purchaser must be stated when deregistering.
You have the option of registering or deregistering your dog online.
Costs
The annual tax amounts to
- only one dog is kept 70,00 Euro,
- two dogs are kept 105.00 Euro per dog and
- three or more dogs are kept 125.00 euros per dog.
- only one so-called "fighting dog" is kept 630,00 Euro
- two or more so-called "fighting dogs" are kept 965.00 euros per dog
The dog tax is due annually on July 1st.
