What fees do I have to pay for waste disposal?
The authorization of the municipalities to levy waste disposal fees is based on the North Rhine-Westphalia Municipal Code, the Municipal Tax Act and the local waste disposal statutes.
In accordance with the statutory provisions, the waste disposal fee is made up of a container-based component and a personal fee.
The fee rates are determined by statute. The waste disposal fees are set by written notice and are generally due in quarterly installments on February 15, May 15, August 15 and November 15.
Costs
- A personal fee of 27.70 euros is charged per resident.
- Businesses and tradespeople are charged waste disposal fees on the basis of population equivalents. One population equivalent costs 27.70 euros.
- The basic fee for a gray 80 l container and a green 120 l container or 240 l container or for the corresponding volume of waste bags is 81.10 euros.
- The basic fee for a gray 120 l container and a green 120 l container or 240 l container or for the corresponding volume of waste bags is 89.20 euros.
- The basic fee for a gray and a green 240 l container or for the corresponding volume of waste bags is 107.00 euros.
- If you need an additional paper garbage can (240 l), you can obtain one for 20.00 euros.
- For a 120 l organic waste garbage can you have to pay 86.00 Euro, for a 240 l organic waste garbage can 130.20 Euro.
These are annual fees. If the service is charged during the course of the year, the fee is charged pro rata.
Persons who are not permanently resident in Kevelaer (e.g. students, trainees, soldiers) can be exempted from the waste disposal fee. The form for this can be filled out online or printed out.
