From October 27 to November 9, 2025, the second Climate Weeks will take place in the Kleve district - an initiative of the Kleve district and the Klima.Partner im Kreis Kleve, of which we are one. Together, we will show how versatile, creative and suitable for everyday use climate protection can be.
Two weeks full of ideas and activities
During these two weeks, everything revolves around energy, nature, resource conservation and sustainability. You can look forward to a varied program: from exciting lectures and practical hands-on activities to climate cooking, workshops and a children's painting competition. Everyone can get active here, discover new things and make their own contribution to climate protection.
It pays to take part - even on site
There are opportunities to get involved in many towns and communities in the district: at creative workshops or information stands on sustainable topics. In this way, climate protection can be experienced in everyday life - right on our doorstep. A special highlight takes place right here in Kevelaer: The waste management company of the district of Kleve (KKA), the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer and the ReparierBar Kevelaer cordially invite you to the Christmas decoration exchange market. If you like, you can bring up to three items to swap - and of course browse to your heart's content and take home new treasures.
The ReparierBar also offers repairs at the same time. Advance registration is required for this - you can find the relevant form here.
You can hand in your Christmas decorations before the swap market:
- Tuesday, 28.10. to Friday, 31.10., 9-11 a.m. at Kevelaer Town Hall (Peter-Plümpe-Platz 12, 1st floor, rooms 109 and 110)
- Wednesday, 22.10. to Sunday, 2.11. in the Basilika-Stübchen, Basilikastrasse 40 in Kevelaer
(opening hours: Wednesday-Saturday 16-21 h, Sunday 11:30-17 h) - and at the KKA administration, Weezer Straße 3 in Uedem.
The money collected on November 4 will be donated to the Kevelaerer Bürgerstiftung "Seid einig". You can find an overview of all swap markets here.
