Kleve district - On your marks, get set, go! The district of Kleve is once again organizing numerous activity days for children and young people this summer. "Children's Summer in the Kleve District" is the title of the varied activities taking place throughout the district from the beginning of July to the end of September - and they are always free of charge. "This will remain the case in the interests of equal treatment for all children and young people," emphasizes District Administrator Christoph Gerwers. "We invite young and old play fans and young Wipfelstürmer to relive familiar experiences or try something new."
Once again this summer, the motto is "Play without limits" in all 16 towns and municipalities. Children and young people aged between 3 and 15 can climb, slide, play and jump on a total of 21 games afternoons. The final details are currently being finalized in the municipalities. The district-wide "tour" will take place during the summer vacations. More information will be available shortly.
Due to the overwhelming response, there will be a new edition of the "Wipfelstürmer in der Boulderhalle". Strength, stamina, technique - and above all lots of fun are the ingredients for two and a half hours of climbing on artificial obstacles and walls. The district of Kleve has booked a total of twelve group sessions at the Kliff bouldering hall in Kleve on six Saturdays during the summer vacations. District Administrator Christoph Gerwers: "A great offer! Because climbing is not only about the sporting activity, but also about the community experience: overcoming boundaries and creating something together."
Up to 30 girls and boys aged between 7 and 18 from all towns and municipalities in the district can take part in each of the twelve group sessions. The "Wipfelstürmer" dates take place on Saturdays July 19, July 26, August 2, August 9, August 16 and August 23, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm or from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Registration is via the Kliff-Boulderhalle Kleve website: https://kliff-boulderhalle.de/wipfelstuermer/. In order to enable as many children and young people as possible to take part, each child or young person can only book one date at a time.
The offer is aimed at both advanced and beginners. The "Wipfelstürmer" first learn different techniques. They can then apply these directly under the guidance of experienced trainers. After the warm-up program, they head to the climbing walls. There are various challenges to master - the focus is on sport, games and fun.
After the summer vacations, there will be four climbing days for teenagers and young adults aged 10 to 19 from the Kleve district at the "Children's Summer": These "Wipfelstürmer" will conquer the ropes course at the "Eyller See" youth campsite in Kerken. More detailed information will follow.
The district of Kleve provides information about all the "Children's Summer" offers on its website. The website www.kreis-kleve.de/kinder-sommer is updated regularly. District Administrator Christoph Gerwers: "For three months, we offer children and young people in the district a wide range of free activities during the 'Children's Summer' - there's something for everyone!"
