Your training

In this three-year apprenticeship, we will make you fit in theory and practice!

You will receive both vocational training (Alfred-Müller-Armack-Berufskolleg in Cologne) and on-the-job training in the "Kevelaer Marketing" department of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer. Here, the areas of culture, city marketing and tourism, including the city's concert and stage house and public meeting place, are bundled into an exciting working environment with many creative opportunities. Kevelaer has a colorful bouquet of offers for interested people from near and far, and you will soon be able to help implement and communicate them.

Tourism and leisure salespeople develop, broker and sell tourism products and services: For example, they provide interested parties with information and advice on tourist and cultural offers and take reservations and bookings. They provide information, e.g. on the opening times of local facilities, put together tourist packages and calculate prices for these. They also initiate and coordinate leisure activities, taking into account the wishes of target groups and customers. They plan events and ensure their organization. They work closely with local partners, build and maintain networks. They also promote regional tourism through public relations and advertising.
