Public Transport

General Information

Public transport is part of municipal services for the public. The fulfilment of this task is performed by the Stadtwerke [local power supplier] as a transportation company for the cities of Kevelaer and its suburbs. Four concessionary lines are provided according to § 42 PBefG. These lines are the Kervenheim, Winnekendonk, Wetten und den AirportShuttle. The public-transport line Twistenden is operated by the NIAG in Moers, but is incorporated in the complete system.

Furthermore there are supra-regional connections operated by the Deutsche Bundesbahn [German Railway] and the Niederrheinischen Verkehrsbetriebe.
