Art and culture are elements which shape Kevelaer's city slogan Unmistakeable Kevelaer. Work culture - culture via work, as established and found both in Kevelaer's cultural programme and its cityscape. A series of classical concerts, a theatre series and the series Culture for children attract people from the region equally to the city's Konzert- und Bühnenhaus as do concerts given by Udo Jürgens to Justus Frantz and his Philharmonie der Nationen [Philharmonic of the Nations] as well as art exhibitions from Otmar Alt to Pablo Picasso. In addition to numerous galleries, the exhibits at the open-air exhibition Sculptura impress those interested in art and culture in the region.
